Before the world-famous Feast of San Gennaro celebrates its historic 100th anniversary this September, let's come together to celebrate the rich history, vibrant culture, and enduring spirit of Little Italy.
Join us on Friday, July 31, as we honor the brave men and women who crossed oceans with little more than hope, worked tirelessly with calloused hands, and helped build the greatest city in the world. Their sacrifice, determination, and love of family made the American Dream possible for generations that followed.
Let's celebrate the grandmothers whose kitchens were the heart of every home. With simple ingredients, they created unforgettable meals that fed not only our bodies but our souls. Every recipe told a story, every gathering strengthened a family, and every tradition became part of who we are.
Most importantly, let's celebrate the pride we carry today. Our history is alive through our families, our traditions, our neighborhoods, and the values passed from one generation to the next.
As we continue to stand against efforts to diminish or erase our story, we do so with joy, unity, and pride. Together, we will ensure the next generation knows where they came from and why that heritage matters.
No administration can erase our history. No one can erase our contributions. And no one will ever erase our pride.
